Our Boys

I count it as a great blessing and the utmost privilege to have been chosen to be the one to share in the life of one of God's most amazing creatures. Anyone that has spent but only a few minutes with Joey, understands my admiration for this dog. He has taught me so much! From him I learned from the simplest things (and he made my job oh, so easy!) to the most complex lessons in life. As I learn about his heart, I have no doubt that God has put Joey in my life as an example of the heart I should seek after and the outlook I should have in life. He has the most admirable, joyous heart, a compliant attitude, and the very simple things in life bring him the highest thrills. He is content in any situation, diligent in his work, and has a pure, genuine loving heart. He is also, unapologetically, the biggest momma's boy, and, if you have ever had a soul so dedicated to you, you know that you can't help but to return the devotion.

His many accomplishments are just the consequence of who he is. The list is long and it includes many "firsts" and "onlys" for the breed. Maybe I will mention them at a later time, although they are well known to fanciers of this breed and dogs in general. Today, I just wanted to write about what truly makes him who he is: his heart, his essence.
